The university received a short scare on Sunday when 25 people were evacuated from the University of Idaho Student Union Building because of a bomb threat. After the e-mailed threat was received, University employees and the Moscow Police Department quickly cleared the building, and the procedures for evacuation found in the University’s emergency response policy were followed.

After the building was inspecting and nothing suspicious found, people were allowed reentry into the building. The police are still investigating the threat.

Anyone with helpful information should contact Lt. Paul Kwiatkowski at (208) 885-7072 or via police headquarters at (208) 882-COPS. More recent updates will be posted here when available.
