"Every form of addiction is bad, no matter whether the narcotic be alcohol, morphine or idealism."
- Carl Jung

What is Addiction?

Addiction is a chronic, relapsing disease characterized by compulsive drug-seeking or craving and abuse and by long-lasting chemical changes in the brain. One can be physiologically or psychologically addicted to a number of substances, including anabolic steroids, ecstasy, inhalants, marijuana, nicotine, stimulants, and alcohol. Additionally, substance abuse can be a factor in domestic violence, with some studies claiming that the percentage of abusers who are under the influence of alcohol when they assault a partner ranges from 48 to 87 percent!
- National Institute on Drug Abuse

Everyone Deserves to Live Without Addiction

Teenagers whose parents talk to them regularly about the dangers of drugs are 42% less likely to use drugs than those whose parents don't, yet only 1 in 4 teens reports having these conversations. [1] Although it is illegal to sell and distribute tobacco products to youth under age 18, most underage smokers are able to buy tobacco products. [2]
