Who we are
Families and Communities Embrace started as a final assignment for a class in the University of Idaho School of Family and Consumer Sciences. The assignment required a presentation on how to promote Family and Consumer Sciences throughout the State of Idaho. What is so important about Family and Consumer Sciences, anyway? Everything.
You can relate FCS to everything that matters: family, social relationships, consumerism, economics, and culture. It is the very foundation that our society sits on. After all, we bet that you cannot think of a day in which you do not interact with someone in some way, and there isn't a day that goes by without a woman, man, or child who doesn't get abused or killed due to domestic violence or hate crimes. FACE thinks that's important.
